Dear Lilly Gray,
There is now a Social Anxiety Institute...
"When anticipatory anxiety, worry, indecision, depression, embarrassment, feelings of inferiority, and self-blame are involved across most life situations, a generalized form of social anxiety is at work."

Just some food for thought...sixty years ago, had that institute been around, I myself would 100% certainly have been diagnosed with it. And I am SO glad I just lived my own life, as is, without the interference of that diagnosis ...but each of us is individual, our needs unique.
if a person can't be in public.
its different for everyone.. I have social anxiety.. Mainly because i feel inferior towards everyone (i feel low about myself compared to others and not good enough to have friends), and i feel different from most because of my learning disability. (mainly panic when someone tries to socialize with me. depending on the person)..
my shyness towards people doesn't help either.. But once i open up to someone.. I can be outgoing and thats a side most don't see.. Its almost impossible for me to make friends in real life.
