Basically, Gatorade puts more nutrients into your blood (like electrolytes that you lose when you sweat). This makes it easier to transport nutrients and salts around your body, so you need less beats of your heart to transport nutrients around your body, because Gatorade replaces the vital salts and electrolytes we normally lose.
