Ovarian cyst are common, and usually harmless...but go see your gyne right away!!! They continue to grow. When I had an ovarian cyst, I had pain every other month on my lower left side (left ovary) when I ovulated or had my period. It felt like a sharp, hot coal burning inside of me. Nothing I took helped the pain. I was misdiagnosed several time with stomach problems, so my cyst grew to the size of a grapefruit. The pain eventually became excruciating, and I was desperate. Finally I went to my gyne and he diagnosed it right away. He told me I needed surgery, but I was so happy to be free of pain that I looked forward to it....I was finally going to live pain free. Don't wait. Go see your doctor. The smaller your cyst the better & easier to remove, and they may be able to save your ovary. Also, you need to protect yourself against ovarian cancer (don't be afraid, most cysts are benign).
