A urinary tract Infection is caused by presence of bacteria in any part of the urinary tract. The two main types of UTI are Bladder Infections or Cystitis and Kidney Infections or pyelonephritis. The presence of Bacteria in the Bladder can cause UTI and results in frequent urination, Nocturia, Urethritis, Pyuria or pus in urine, Hematuria or blood in urine, Mild fever. Whereas presence of Bacteria in Kidneys is more serious type of UTI as it can cause Emesis or excessive vomiting, Back and abdominal pain, High fever, night sweats and extreme fatigue etc.
