Yes, very much so! There are many infections that are considered upper respiratory infections, including the common cold and the flu. They are spread by direct contact, like shaking hands, or touching a door knob that a sick person has touched. Sooo...keep hands washed, stay home if you're sick, if you need to cough or sneeze do it into the crook of your arm and not into your hand. Stay home if you're sick!
