A communicable disease is a disease that can be passed either directly or indirectly from one person to another. Since many diseases are spread through contact with infected people, animals and contaminated surfaces, washing your hands is the by far the most effective way to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases. From the common cold right to hepatitis A, diarrhea and meningitis all spread through touch. It is essential to wash your hands before preparing food and before eating as well. It is important to Clean and Disinfect all Surfaces in your home. It is also necessary to make sure that you and all your family members take all necessary vaccines on time. Many diseases pass from pets to owners so make sure that your pets are clean and well looked after.

Communicable diseases are directly related to environmental health conditions. The control of infectious diseases largely depends on a clean and healthy environment that includes clean water and adequate sanitation. Communicable disease will cause illness and suffering and in some cases even death.
