After a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) the symptoms vary, But yes, the stools can be lighter, If there are any other symptoms present, such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, yellowing of the eyes and/or skin or itching of the skin, contact your physician immediately. Otherwise, there is no need for concern, as this is probably due to the fact that you do not have bile being produced and excreted anymore.
