I went to the Food Network site and found a 30 day meal plan for people that have diabetes.  It was helpful to me.  I take insulin according to the amount of carbs that I eat.

Hope this will help you.

Best thing that I can tell you is to go to www.webmd.com. There are so many resources there that can help you out. Check your local library also, there are a lot of cook books out there for diabetics now, with a lot of things that they can eat without problems arising from them. Hope this helps, good luck.

Complex carbohydrates. The simple carbs such a white stuff turn into sugar (whilte rice, white bread, crackers)
Stick to Brown Rice products such as brown rice pasta, brown rice crackers, sweet potatoes, whole wheat pasta, breads, etc.

It isn't a difficult diet to stick to.
