Odd that you should mention the radio, I am Bipolar and have heard what sounds like a radio playing in the other room, when I am at the manic end of the spectrum. I can never hear the song, just sounds like someone playing and singing to music, but at a distance or in another room. Yes Bi-Polar people can have hallucinations when they are cycling.[ having severe mood swings] from one to the other.
Do Bipolar People Hear Things Like Voices Or A Soft Radio Playing, In The Other Room Or A Car Pull Up Out Side, Etc. But Nothing Is There?
I also have Bipolar disorder, and have had periods where I hear singing from far away, or people talking near me when no one is there. I've always known these sounds were just inside my head, and being perceived outwardly as a sound, but that doesn't stop them from happening. I'll also think I hear someone open and close a door in my apartment when no one is home, but it's a similar tenor to the singing and talking so I know it's just me. It doesn't really bother me anymore, and I feel fine about it as long as I'm aware it's an auditory hallucination then I don't have to worry about going crazy. :X
I am bipolar, and I hear my name being softly whispered, and I hear soft music playing from the other room, So I would assume yes!
Bipolar diseases is a collection of mood disorders. The symptoms you have mentioned above are normally not part of Bipolar disease as people suffering from this disease usually have periods of depression and mania. However, in most extreme cases when a person suffers from maniac depression, hallucinations and delusions can occur with the patient. This could possibly include things like voice or radio playing.
I always hear the radio in another room. Drives me nuts. I use white noise apps on my phone now to drown it out. I call these hallucinations "manic static". I can't really hear them, ie make out words or discinct songs.
Amanda Rose I had that happen to me after my son was born, I was also in post partum depression (then psychosis, thanks bipolar). You should talk to your doctor about possible post partum risks since you are having these auditory hallucinations.

No they do not if they are truly bi-polar.
