The child may be unable to eat sugary foods aswell as fatty foods which he may like, however because he wont be able to do this he may become flu-strated= may be unable to socialize properly because he may feel left out or flu-strated when being around people who can eat whatever they want  and so his emotional and social health will be effected
lastly growth may also be delayed

Diabetes can affect child development if the child has a lot of high blood sugars and has a lot of episodes of ketoacidosis. Growth and puberty can also be affected by being delayed.
