I am definitely nearsighted, but I've had glasses since 3rd grade, and I like the physical protection glasses give my eyes on windy days. And of course, we live in an age where vision correction is readily available.
While reflecting on that availability, I once asked my ophthalmologist what my life would have been like in the caveman era.
He smiled and replied, "The others would have said, 'You sit by the fire, we'll go hunt.'"
