You might want to note that cysts may develop due to a number of different processes that take place in your body. Some of the possible causes would include regular "wear and tear". It could also result from simple impediments to the free flow of your body's fluid.

Other common causes would include possible infections; some chronic inflammatory conditions; an impact injury and certain faults in developing organs when at the embryo stage. There are also genetic (inherited) conditions or tumours which could be possible causes.

It is often seen that they can sometimes arise quote spontaneously when there is no apparent probable cause. You will find that cysts can pop up pretty much anywhere on your body.

I have a cyst on my eye lid just now, I just got back from the doctors and he prescribed me with an anti-bacterial ointment. I have had about 4 or 5 cysts in the past year and the ointment has cleared them all up. I would recommend making an appointment with your doctor to get a prescription.
