My sister lived for 3 years past a stage IIIc ovarian diagnosis. She had a total hysterectomy, 2 bowel resections ( it had spread) and lots of chemo in the 3 years. We were hoping for a clinical trial that would work for her, Julie was a true inspiration at 46. I recently met a satge 3 survivor for 10 years. There is always hope and chemo that may put into remission.

Day by day! I had two surgeries. One in Jan 24th, 2009. It took 4 hours to remove two cyst, I was supposed to go home that day thinking everything would be ok. Woke up to 3c ovarian cancer. Had a second surgery  booked Friday March 13th. How lucky was I to be!!!! Had my spleen, appendix, 3 cyst, 2 lymph nods and partial bowl removal and full hysterectomy followed with six rounds of eight hour chemo with an IP port. Lost my job, car and can't get unemployment because I worked for myself. I have been told we don't make it to three years with this cancer.
I believe we have to!!!! I want to live. I think once you accept death and aren't scared anymore then we can fight. I hope I can say I am here in three years. I have a husband and two girls I love
beyond life and I am here to fight. Please be positive, you have to be!!! Maria who is still standing and fighting.
