An ulcer is an open painful part of the skin, eyes or mucous covering, often caused, but not wholly, by an initial scrape and normally maintained by an irritation, an infection, and/or checkup conditions which hinder healing.
It is of following types:
The skin is red. The fundamental tissue is soft. The rosiness disappears with slight pressure.
There is redness, bulge and hardening of the skin about the area. Sometimes there is sweltering. Sometimes there is loss of the shallow skin.
The skin becomes necrotic. There may be experience of the fat underneath the skin. The skin may be lost from side to side all its layers.
There is more loss of fat and more necrosis of the covering through to the muscle under.
Continuing defeat of fat and necrosis of influence below
Bone obliteration begins with irritation of the bone, corrosion of the bone cortex moving ahead to osteomyelitis. There may be sepsis of a dual, pathologic fracture or widespread body illness, septicemia.
