Yes. Limit spicy foods, fiber, too hot or too cold foods, caffeine, and dairy products. All or these can trigger nausea and/or diarrhea. Dairy products may be alright if you take Lactate tablets to keep the lactose from causing diarrhea. You should eat a bland diet. Ask your Doctors if the Chemo. you are going to take causes diarrhea. Most do, but, a couple have the opposite effect and cause constipation. If you want juice, avoid at all costs. It triggers bad nausea and vomiting as well as diarrhea. Drink lots of water. Popsicles and chicken noodle soup are also good. Tuna, chicken, and small amounts of peanut butter are goos sources of protein.

Let me clarify: orange juice is the one you want to avoid. Your taste buds are going to change. Nothing will taste "right". Citrus flavors taste "normal" the longest and are the first flavors to return to normal. The taste bud thing is temporary. I've worked with Oncology patients for sixteen years; these are observations. When your immune system drops, someone else should prepare all fresh foods for you; it will limit your contact with germs. Good luck.

Why would I be told not to walk outside with no shoes on? My friend told me that she knew someone who did and worms got in her lungs and thats why she died this sounds strange,

Cancer loves sugar: avoid sugar, use lots of leafy vegetables and find immune system builders like noni and goji tablets.
