Black tongue can be caused by one of the following factors:
1) using antibiotics
2) Poor mouth hygiene
3) smoking
4) stress
5) unbalanced diet

Since you have had diarrhea, have you used medicine contains antibiotics? If yes, then it might be the reason.

When your ill you get a white/yellow substance on your tongue, which is discarded cells, since more of your cells die when you're ill, but if your tongue itself is actually white, I guess it's because he blood-flow is directed away from your head but if that happens you should notice your cheeks are pale as well.

Currently I have the problem of the yellow/white substance but can't work out what's wrong with me. D:
