The normal range of white blood cells is 4500 – 10000. The levels above 10000 are called elevated. There are following reasons for this increase.
1.     Infection
2.     Tissue damage like burn
3.     Leukemia (a type of cancer)
4.     Inflammatory diseases like allergy and arthritis.
5.     Emotional or physical stress.
