Can you contract HIV through food that comes in contact with blood from an HIV positive person?

Key word here is blood transfer. If blood falls on food that is then cooked, one may be okay but if blood is fresh and unknown to all, anything could happen here

Doubtful.

There is only one recorded case of HIV being transferred orally and some have doubts about that case. HIV is serum borne, which means the transfer must be from blood serum to blood serum; blood of infected person entering through a wound or a blood transfusion.

The HIV virus would most likely be destroyed in the stomach by the digestive acid HCl, hydrochloric acid.
