Mercer Staph Infection is caused by the Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus bacteria. The symptoms are quite like those of the Staph infection. The sites that may be affected by the Mercer Staph infection are open wounds, the bloodstream, eyes, third degree burns and urinary tract area. The first symptoms appear around these areas. The main symptoms is reddish pimples all over the affected area, that looks like bed bug bites. In some cases blisters or boils filled with pus also appear over the affected area. If someone has a wound, it starts to hurt and itch and the area around it swells up and hurts. In some cases white pimples may appear around the hair follicles. The patient may also have swollen lymph nodes in armpits, neck and groin. Other symptoms are fevel, chills, nausea, vomiting, headaches and pain in joints and muscles.

My mother keeping going in and out of the hospital.  She goes in longer and is out shorter period.  This time when she went in her white count was 49th and her stomach is really swollen.  I'm told she has a cv virus and that it was caused by all the antibiotics she has had in the hospital over time.  We have to dress up to see her and wash before leaving but the dr don't tell us much else.  Can this be a form of Mrsa?
