If you have been hit anywhere and you are suffering pain or you have bumps or bruises you should really be checked out by a doctor, particularly if you have been hit by a metal bar. You will also be in some sort of shock which means that your body won't react straightaway as the body is being pumped full of adrenalin.

This is because the body is in shock mode and may not feel the pain immediately. Yet if you decide to go to the doctor he will be able to check you out and give you a proper examination. You may need to undergo testing or you may be told to just rest up and recuperate. If you have been given the all clear by your doctor or specialist then he may say to rest and take it easy for anything between one and two weeks.

It is for the sole reason that your body can recover from the battering it has taken. You may need to undergo further testing on the brain and an MRI scan. This is to detect any brain injuries or whether or not you have done any damage to your temple region. This could be dangerous as it could lead to several serious situations that you should certainly want to avoid.

Get a cold compress, and place it on the spot of your bump to reduce swelling. If you're eyes aren't focused immediately after being hit, have someone drive you to the hospital as soon as possible.  However, if you can see, and if you're not bleeding from the ears, there's no need to trouble the doctor; you'll be fine.

I hit my head in a stone really bad and I had a cut  5 stitches to be exact  Doctor gave me ibuprofen  ad cephalexin  I asked the doctor if I had a X-ray but they said I was fine  but I'm worried  if in the future I can have consequences. Do you think I should ask for x-ray, ct scan or something like that ?

Forget about him.  If he can so easily dismiss you then you were probably right, he was seeing someone else.  He is showing his true colors now.  He dismisses your feelings and dismisses you.  Run from him as fast as you can.  An MFT therapist, Lori

From the description you have provided I don't believe it is anything serious or anything to worry about. If she hit hard enough she would be experiencing headaches, n/v,dizziness, blood in ears, inability to focus, will look like she is in a trance. If you are that worried about it take her to the Dr.

If your body is not showing any serious abnormality as you have mentioned, no need to worry at all. In any head injury feeling of vomiting followed by serious headaches(not minor) is need to be diagnosed. Your bump will die within a week.
