You may have contracted a flu infection such as influenza because the first symptom of such an infection is aching bones because the body is trying to respond to the infection. As time goes on your muscles may start to feel sore as well as a feeling of lethargy and weakness. You need to keep in mind that this is the way your body is reacting to dehydration. The temperature will rise in your body which will evaporate the water contained in your cells. The cells will eventually become overheated and due to the lack of the water circulating around your body, your muscles will begin to ache.

In order to combat this problem you should attempt to drink as much fluids as possible. If you do not then the dehydration will worsen and you may suffer from diarrhoea and experience persistent vomiting. As well as drinking plenty of water you should also drink some green tea because evidence has suggested that it will lessen the symptoms of your illness along with shortening the duration of influenza, if you have contracted it. You should also add ginger to the tea by adding a crushed ginger root or pouring in some spice ginger in powdered form. Moreover, you could use sliced fresh ginger or simply drink some ginger ale but ensure it has real ginger in the ingredients. Lastly, make sure you have plenty of rest because overworking your muscles will not help to soothe the aching feeling you are experiencing. Therefore, try to stay in bed and get as much sleep as possible to ensure a speedy recovery.

Hi, I have the same problem. Its mainly my legs, from my hips down to just past my knee but they just throb all of the time.,I have found that the only way to make them feel a bit better is to wrap up and use my electric blanket. Its worse at night when I sit down and relax for some reason.

M/y mum has always said that she gets a chill in her bones and then they ache. She used to light the gas fire and warm herself or get into bed with electric blanket on!

There are many things that can make your bones or what feels like your bones aching from cold. I have suffered with this for a few years, the first thought was low progesterone but I sorted that. The next which is hard to diagnose with no real soultion was that I had something called fibromyalgia.

Usually there are only certain bones that bother you when cold and that would be arthritis. But if you ache all over it is just that, you ache all over.
