It is possible that the ones you are using contain traces of materials that are used in latex paints. If it contains PMMA (or polymethyl methacrylate), which it could do as they have developed lenses that combine PMMA with silicone, then this could be the case.

For more information on what contact lenses are made of, you might like to go here.

Another thing you could do (if you don't want to mention the brand on here) is get in touch with the supplier themselves asking what their lenses are made of, or indeed, at least letting you know if they contain latex or traces or materials used in the production of latex.

New contacts are now made with silicone, silicone can contain traces of latex.  If you have a mild intolerance to latex over time, by being exposing your self to it, it becomes a full blown allergy.  I speak from experience, I cannot even touch a rubber band without it burning my skin.
