Trichomonas is protozoan and can causes infection called trichomoniasis. Ladies can have this infection with symptoms but male don't have any symptom but can spread this infection to partner. One sexual exposure is sufficient to spread these pathogens to partner. Ladies infected with trichomonas can have discharge and itching with rotten egg smell. Metronidazole is used to treat this infection.
