What Happens If You Leave Gonorrhea Untreated?

Gonorrhea is caused by a bacteria in both men and women which spread through sex. Following complications can occur if gonorrhea is not treated.

1. Infertility in both sexes
2. Transfer of Infections to other organs of the body
3. Increased risk of HIV infection
4. Problems in newborn if mother is infected. These problems can be blindness, infection of joints and sores on  head

Antibiotics are used to treat gonorrhea.
