Shingles can be contagious for those who have not chicken pox previously but the affected person can develop chicken pox. So, if the infant has previously chicken pox then he can not have shingles from others but can develop shingles on his own due to weak immunity. If the infant had no chicken pox previously then he will develop chicken pox from person having shingles. So, your daughter might get chicken pox.
