Pulmonary Embolism is actually the blockage of Pulmonary artery or any of its branches. It occurs when a blood clot dislodges and embolizes towards the arterial blood supply of a lung.
The symptoms of this disease are difficulty in breathing, chest pain and in some cases collapse, circulatory instability and sometimes sudden death. The cure time for this disease depends on the severity of the disease and the medical treatment you have seeked.
It is treatable through a kind of Anticoagulation therapy known as Warfarin Therapy. This takes around 3-6 months for most of the cases. However, in some severe cases, this therapy has to be continued throughout the life of the patient.
