Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is most deadly cancer because it spread to other parts of the body quickly and is usually diagnosed when already spread. Prognosis of lung cancer is poor and depends upon stage of the cancer. For IA stage after surgery of non small cell lung cancer , 5 years survival rate is 67%, for stage IB, 57%, and for stage IV is 1%. For small cell lung cancer, overall survival rate for 5 years is 5% and for advance stage it is less than 1%.
