I Have This Gagging Dry Cough That Happens To Me Every So Often It Flares Up. It Gets So Bad Sometimes That I Feel As If I Am Going To Vomit. The Gagging Cough Isn't Constant, It Happens On And Off. It Will Go Away For A While And Then Come Back.what Should I Do?
I have the same problem for a long time. After I visit my doctor, he said it's acid reflux and gave me Protonax. I had been ok for a long time but even I am on a medicine dry throat, cough and gagging came back stronger than before. I almost vomit sometimes. Tomorrow I wil see my doc. Again and we will see what is going on exactly.
It may also be advisable to see your doctor I have a very similar condition to what you describe it's a type of hypersensitivity to allergens. I've been suffering from this since April of this year I do recommend that you see a doctor so you can possibly be placed on an allergy medicine to help with the cough. You don't want to ignore this and have to be taken to the hospital trust me, more trouble than it's worth.
Whenever that happens, your throat is clogged up with mucus. The body has to force itself to cough the mucus so that you can breathe. It only happens to me when I'm sick. And, usually you wake at night coughing and gagging at night because you haven't been coughing for the night. This should fade away right after your illness is gone. However, you have to beware that if you do exercise while being ill. You might gag yourself when your breathing because you can't respire as much oxygen so you gag to bring the mucus down the throat. Its natural and happens often when we are sick but you should see a doctor if this happens too often.
I can feel it in my throat knowing I am going to gag and start dry vomiting if I go along with it I will do this for about 5 minutes and it will start to go away. It might happen 2-3 days in a row in the morning and sometimes not for weeks what can I do
