I have never heard of anyone losing or gaining weight having the gall bladder removed. The gall bladder is a small gland that is on the liver, it only helps the liver to process excess bile
from the liver,so it has no relation to gaining or losing weight at all.

I have lost 12 pounds while 3trips to the ER and numerous trips to the Dr. and lots of tests tried to figure out what was wrong. I had my gall bladder removed 7 days ago and have lost three more pounds. I don't feel well enough to want to eat.

Hey you
I had trouble losing weight, too. But I finally found the system that worked for me and my friends “YOGA” fastest way to lose weight. Yoga is not known as a weight loosing practice. It can help with your flexibility, and even help you achieve a calm piece of mind.
Yoga is one of the best fitness programs that I have ever attempted. Without being too harsh on the body this gentle form of exercise benefits us in so many ways. It helps improve concentration, mental balance, calms your body and mind, helps you relax.
I have free info about this on my site at;

It depends on who you are and what you eat and don't eat after the surgery. I've never heard of it making people gain or loose. I actually lost a few lbs after min but that was 6 years ago. ( I was 12 when it happened). But like I said it depends on what you eat/ drink and if you lay around the house all the time or you get up and do things. It depends

I'm going to have my gall bladder removed on march 18,2010 and I'm a little scared , because I keep googling all my questiond that I have and iv'e heard and seen it all, how either people have gained more than 60 pounds or how people have lost weight. I don't really know what to think ow and iv'e also heard that I may have lots of trips to the restroom, My doctor says I wont have any changes to my body he says that I will function back to normal, I'm only 20 yrs old and I guess I just need to stop scaring myself, what should I do or think of removing my gall bladder?
