My husband's absolute lymphocytes was at 698 - low. He had prostrate cancer 2 years ago and they removed the prostrate but was unable to get all of it. He had radiation at City of Hope and they felt good about the out come. Does this mean it has returned. He has had blood in his urine for the past month with now he's taking antibiotics for that.
My levels were 794 low? Are normal levels 850-3900?
Adrenal cancer diagnosis
My blood tests are as follows and the concern is thyroid problems. Lymphocytes % is 14.4(L), neutrals # 8400(H), wbc 11.3(H), eosin 6.35(H), wbc 11.3(H), mchc 36.4(H), rdw 11.2(L), c/ratio 5.6(H), t-bili 1.1(H), tsh-3
You may just have an infxn. This number alone does not tell the whole picture. A clinician uses the whole picture to make a diagnosis, not a single lab result. Make an appointment to sit down with your doctor. I recommend having a list of questions ready for him.
I have a very low lymphocyte count and is getting lower each time I have a blood test. I had a kidney removed 4/24/09 for renal cell carcinoma.
Should I be concerned that the cancer has returned?
I received a large dosage of radiation several years ago when a machine leaked radiation from a malfunction. Could this be the problem with the low lymphocyte count?

Most of the time the answer is yes. Because the low count of lymphocytes are said to be cancerous. See the link below for more information:

The answer is NO. The absolute lymphocytes means that the patient becomes increasingly at risk of the infection. For more information, see the link below:

I think that chemo or radiation therapy can cause the lymphocyte count to be low. My son just had his blood work done and his were low. I asked what could cause that. He said radiation treatment could, but it didn't pertain to my son. We're still in the process of figuring it out.
I made full blood picture everything within normal except lymphocytes 1260/cmm normal range 1.500-3.500 and monocytes 150/cmm normal range 300-1.000 T.S.H(ultra sensitive) 6.10 normal range is 0.35-5.5 T3 198 normal range 60-181 does this indicate that there is cancer in the lympho glades?
