Ok there are several things that can cause it. Most likely it is a problem with a nerve. The neuropathy can be due to an injury, diabetes or multiple sclerosis, or just a plain neuropathy. It can also be due to allergy, physical burn, sunburn, chemical burn, smoking, radiation therapy, a viral respiratory tract infection starting, a cold, hay fever, moving to a high altitude, or a stroke. Again, it is most likely due to a damaged nerve in the face, or an inflamed nerve in the face. If it does not go away, see a neurosurgeon.
