Pain is a symptom of many conditions and diseases and you can not suspect  brain tumors by having only pain on your top of eyebrow. Very few percentage of the brain tumors is inherited. Symptoms of brain tumors are frequent headaches with new patterns, vision problems, nausea, vomiting, gradual loss of sensation in legs and arms, hearing disorders, seizures, hormonal problems, speech problems, balance problems, and confusion. Your problem can be due to stress or any other condition. You can also discuss this with your doctor.

OK first try not to think the worst it may be something simple and not severe.

Do you have sinus problems, people can get pain over their eyebrows, usually on cheek bones too. Or maybe a migraine, I have those too, it is usually on one side of your head when you have these, both are treatable.

I do understand though with your dad having a brain tumor how you would go that route.

Talk to your doctor he should be able to quickly tell you whats going on.

Keep us posted on what you find out.

why did you press your palm? Are you trying to do hand reflexology?

I think he means that he put his palm on his eyebrow to put pressure on the area. I have the same thing when I land after flying. It usually lasts for a couple of hours after, but the pain when the plane starts to descend is excruciating! I have come to tears more than once because the pain is so sharp. However, taking an antihistamine before flying seems to help; they relieve the sinus pressure that is being put on that area.

I have had the same thing a few times over the past 10 years of flying, and felt like my head was literally going to implode. I must be prone to it. It surprised me that the cabin crew looked at me puzzled and didn't know what to to help. One time I was given and bag of ice which I put on my forehead which seemed to help. Don't put a hot pack as it makes it worse. Preventative measures are probably to drink heaps of water in the 24 hours before the flight. Or if feeling a bit stuffy take a sudafed. Just got off a flight 2 hours ago and it happen again. Pain over my right eye brow, blocking my nose and blowing only made it worse. Sharp pain spread to the top of my head. Haven't had that before.
