Breast cancer in teenage girls is very rare, but it is still important to be aware of the symptoms just in case. If you find a lump then you should consult your doctor to get checked out, especially if you have other symptoms such as pain, discharge, swelling or bleeding within that area.

You should check your breasts regularly no matter what age you are. This will help you to become familiar with any normal changes that occur throughout the month, which is common around your period anyway.

The risk of breast cancer is slightly higher if you started your periods at a younger age, although it does not mean you will definitely get it. If you have close relatives that have had the disease, such as your mother or sister, then you are your chances do increase, but various lifestyle factors do also play a big part.

It is important to eat healthily, wear the right size bra, avoid binge drinking and smoking, and exercise regularly to keep your body fit and healthy and have a lower chance of developing cancer. You can get fitted for a bra for free at a lingerie shop, so you can support your breasts as much as possible without causing damage to them by wearing underwear that is too tight.

Most lumps turn out to be benign, which means not cancerous, but it is always important to get checked out if you find something unusual. There are various websites online that can help you to check your breasts properly, such as www.channel4embarrassingillnesses.com/video/how-to-check-you

The same as would be with an adult woman. A lump or lumps found in the tissue of the breast. Sometimes a discharge, if there is a suspicion about it, you need to see the doctor about it as soon as you can. Hope this helps, good luck to you.
