My 83  year old dad was recently diagnosed with bone cancer.  He just came come and we are using Hospice care.   He has an estimated 6 month or less to live.  Look into getting help with Hospice.  It is covered under a lot of health insurance policy and also sometime done for free based on your situation.  Hospice told us that as long as a person is diagnosised with a terminal illness by a doctor they will provide service.  It doesn't matter the specific life expectancy, it could 1 week or 1 year +.  Every several months they touch base with the doctor and if he confirms you still have a termial illness and not in remission ect....the care is continued.  I am truly sorry to hear of your illness.  God bless and I hope this helps you!

Life expectancy is calculated by the God because he has given life to all living things. Prognosis of the lung cancer depends upon the stage of the cancer, metastasis and vascular invasion. Lung cancer spread to other parts of the body quickly and lungs themselves are good place for metastasis from other areas. Treatment is by chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. 5 years survival rate is 14% with treatment.
