Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria which is transmitted by ticks bite. The disease has 3 stages. After primary symptoms which were untreated or not treated properly, second stage starts and the disease become chronic. After this 3rd stage starts in which backache is one of the symptoms. I am a 43 yr old female had 5, mri's,a positive spect scan, enhanced 7th cranial nerve, lyme knowlegeable radiologist have stated that I have now over 35 spots of dylemenation in my brain and as of tuesday I am to see a spinal surgeon for severe cervicle spinal stenosis and degenerative disk disease. It took 20 years 2 diagnose me after 2 miscarages at 23 and 24 a complete hyserectomy at 25, at which the dr. Found I I had a left bundle branch block. I had been on antibotics since my 1st child at age 22 infectionwas thought 2 b P.I.D. Every time I had 2 go on antibiotics I got sicker, headpain, feeling like I was burning up inside etc. I could go on but 2 make it short my 1st girl now 21 is very ill, tested positve 2 times lymes post. And babisois pos. It is belived I got lymes preg.with her. My 2nd. Child I almost lost at 4 months,dr.put me on terbutaline and bed rest my oldest was 10 months at this time. My 2nd girl devloped gen.seizure disorder at 18 months she is 20 now and has problem. No birth control didnt work on me I've been sick with a myraid of symptoms been 2 stanford 10 yrs.ago, san fran etc. Told all in my head, fibromyalgia, you name it . When my oldest knees started hurting in 7th grade with headaches,my youngest having seizures I got mad and asked for a lyme test for all of us we lived in cali.in chico where I was infected then sierra ft.hills. I was D.N.A. Positive. For lymes further testing showed I also have babisiosis and heavy load of ericliosis. Bottom line after our tests from M.D.L. Back east it took 2 years to find a lyme literate specialist recommended by lyme assoc. I now have late stage lyme.encephalopathy, M.S. Like symptoms,CNS.lymes.severe spasms, brain fog etc.etc.I was put on heavy doses of rocephen by implanted I.V. And had 2 other antibiotics along with antimalarial drug mepron and several other drugs. I could not tolerate the treatment my oldest daughter was put on oral meds lost weight got ill etc. Tried treament adjustment for 2 years having severe herxheimer reactions all the way. After a fortune on meds,Drs.tests ect.(my specialist closed his extremely busy practice since he too had Lymes The A.L.S. Form thought caused by the female tick), help has been out of reach I live in Montana now moved here after 1st test was positive not many truely Lyme literate Drs. Here. My General practioner has helped for 3 years worked with ny specialist a year ago I was told not much can be done and now because of severity of the disease he has said I am probably not a surgery canidate I am too ill. My nerologist and a few others have stated without surgery I am looking at para or quadrapligia. My oldest back is starting 2 hurt she struggles at college and I am actively looking 4 a Dr. 4 her and her sister. Even though I went 2 top drs. For 20 years had symptoms that all are lyme related and extremely not normal for someone my age I had 2 fight 4 a diagnosis having Drs. Giving the shoulder shrug all the way.So yes run to ask for a Spinal M.R.I. And brain one. Look up the lyme assos. And you can get tested (sometimes in some cases it takes several testings) from a Lyme literate testing facility a good one is in Palo Alto. Drs. Will ship bloodwork for you . Anyone reading this lymes is here its serious, and only work with Drs. That are truely Lyme literate the Lymes Association is the 1st place to start .      Still Fighting in Montana
