There could be a variety of symptoms for people with diabetes. Different people react differently. The best way to know that you are sick if you do not feel the same way you feel everyday and have some troubles as we will discuss below.

You should be alarmed if you have nausea and vomiting. Diabetics sometimes suffer from nausea or vomiting. You may also have nausea and vomiting if you have ketoacidosis. Hence it is imperative that you monitor your blood glucose and ketone levels. Do go for medical help is discomfort persists.

Some other symptoms could be loosing weight or running a temperature. You must visit your doctor under these circumstances and take a record of your fever and blood sugar and ketone level test results. Some other symptom could be loss of appetite. If you do not take in enough calories, your blood sugar levels can come down causing dizziness. You must take the necessary steps to bring the blood sugar levels up.

Something alarming is when you notice high blood sugar levels that don't decrease with take extra insulin. Please consult your doctor immediately.

Ive known some people to  feel fatigued because they may be dehydrated from going to the bathroom a lot.

You may get a lot of tingling in your hands or your feet.

People with diabetes, in my opinion should try an organic turmeric supplement.  It helps control your blood sugar.  If if you dont have it, turmeric does wonders for your body.

Waiting too long to get medical care when you are sick can lead to getting much sicker. When you have diabetes, a delay in getting care can be life threatening. Even a minor cold can make your diabetes harder to control. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to more serious health problems.

When you are sick, keep a close watch on diabetes warning signs. These are:

High blood sugar that will not come down with treatment

Nausea

Vomiting

Low blood sugar that will not rise after you eat

Confusion or changes in how someone normally behaves

If you have any of these warning signs and cannot treat them yourself, call your doctor right away. Make sure your family members also know the warning signs.

Why do some people think even though they have diabetes they aren't sick? I know someone who has stopped taking their medication and has lost a lot of weight and thinks their not sick any more. And I keep on saying diabetes affects everyone different and is a silent killer.
