A burning sensation is not a good sign, you could have torn your acl, or other ligaments and tendons in there, you should really go and see your doctor about this, my daughter tore her acl, and is still suffering with it. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

It sounds like you are having pressure applied to a nerve that is causing the burning effect. This could also cause numbness and tingling to the knee. If the pain occurs behind the knee you most likely have torn a ligament or a tendon and you will need to see an orthopedic Dr for. You can also see a knee specialist as well.
