Please Please Please request magnetic imaging of some kind for your knee. There are many possible reasons for the symptoms you describe, most of them fairly common and easily treatable, but there is a fairly rare cancer called Sarcoma, particularly Osteosarcoma, that presents in this way as well. I'm not saying this to scare you, however, I had very similar symptoms and assumed they were caused by repetitive stress (I was in military training at the time). As such I didn't receive any imaging tests (just continued to self-medicate with Aleve) until almost a year after my first symptoms started. Now, as you can imagine, I have big problems to put it lightly.

Your symptoms are most likely related to a ligament (PCL) or Meniscus tear given the location of the pain you indicated. However, I can't express to you how important it is to image the knee and be sure you and your physician know exactly what you're dealing with.  Best of Luck.

Sounds like you have torn a muscle or bruised it very badly. May even have twisted your leg and bruised or torn or pinched a nerve in the leg. You can put heat on it then cold compress alternate every thirty minutes. May help. If not then see your doctor or physician.

I also have lower leg pain in the R. Upper gastroc, medial side of knee, anterior tibialis down into top of the R. Foot and during knee flexion after climbing stairs doing my laundry. I acquired an injury doing an extreme exercise class back in Feb. But still have symptoms off and on. Could a torn muscle back in Feb. Still be causing me problems? Thanks, Martha
