What are the early symptoms of HIV infection?

Many people do not develop any symptoms when they first become infected with HIV. Some people, however, get a flu-like illness within three to six weeks after exposure to the virus. This illness, called Acute HIV Syndrome, may include fever, headache, tiredness, nausea, diarrhoea and enlarged lymph nodes (organs of the immune system that can be felt in the neck, armpits and groin). These symptoms usually disappear within a week to a month and are often mistaken for another viral infection.

During this period, the quantity of the virus in the body will be high and it spreads to different parts, particularly the lymphoid tissue. At this stage, the infected person is more likely to pass on the infection to others. The viral quantity then drops as the body's immune system launches an orchestrated fight.

More persistent or severe symptoms may not surface for several years, even a decade or more, after HIV first enters the body in adults, or within two years in children born with the virus. This period of "asymptomatic" infection varies from individual to individual. Some people may begin to have symptoms as soon as a few months, while others may be symptom-free for more than 10 years. However, during the "asymptomatic" period, the virus will be actively multiplying, infecting, and killing cells of the immune system.

I was diagnosed with herpes and clue cells infection.  I have been sick with flu like symptoms and severe pain from hips down. Weak knees, tongue is on fire. But the pain and my circulation in feet is practically gone.  Cold feet, tingles, and just can't take the pain and sick feeling and it makes my anxiety bad. I feel like I have aids.

There is no way of been sure of your status without testing, also if u think u have hiv then your mind will be playing tricks on you. The more you look around for a diagnosis online the longer you will be feeling like this. I am very experienced in the hiv/aids department, the only way u can put ur mind at ease is to get tested. You can get the results in 20 minutes in these modern ones. Good luck and best wishes.

Most of the people do not expand any signs or indications when they initial become impure with HIV. But in some cases, people get flu like disease during three to six weeks after contact to the virus. This disease, called Acute HIV condition, may contain fever, headache, sleepiness, vomiting, diarrhea and enlarged lymph nodes. These symptoms commonly vanish within a week to a month and are often incorrect for another viral disease.

During this time, the amount of the virus in the body will be increase and it extends to dissimilar parts, mainly the lymphoid tissue. At this phase, the infected person is more likely to pass on the virus to others. The viral amount then drops as immune system of body launches an orchestrated fight.

Few symptoms may not outside for a number of years, still 10 year or more, after HIV first enters the body in young persons, or in two years in children instinctive with the virus. This phase of "asymptomatic" disease changes from person to person. In some peoples symptoms appears in a few months, while some may be symptom free for more than 10 years. So we can say that attack of HIV virus may be on different time period.
