It is the doctor who can understand and decide to have surgery or not. Although this condition requires surgery. You have to avoid fats completely because your gallbladder is unable to release bile in the intestine which digest the fat. Either you remove the gallbladder or not, you have to avoid the fats. You can discuss the surgery with the your current doctor or another doctor for second opinion.
