IBS - Irritated Bowel Syndrom. Many people suffer from this and if it has been just a week it sounds more like a stomach flu and or food allergy that occurred. Did you eat a new food recently? Go out to a restaurant more? Eat at a potluck or reception of some kind? Try the BRATS diets. Bannas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. Clear chicken broth and Ginger-Ale. I mondium for the diarrhea and  gas-x for pain in the abdominal tract.

Chronic diarrhea is not a symptom of gallbladder problems. Symptoms of gallbladder problems include pain, nausea, vomiting, bloating, belching, gas, and indigestion. You may have something like the stomach flu or food poisoning. There could any number of gastric problems occurring. Do you have a fever? If the pain is not resolved, you should consult with your doctor. In the meantime, you might want to try an antidiarrheal medication such as Zantac or Imodium AD to help relieve the diarrhea symptoms.

There's something called Habba Syndrome that associates chronic diarrhea with gallbladder dysfunction. Do a search on it to find out all the details. Good luck.
