Does 'Medavir' Work For Genital Herpes?

It seems to work for a lot of people. The Medavir website says it is effective in 98% of people who use it. However, I would suggest that before you start using it, you do ask your doctor about it. Usually, you have to be very careful about topical treatments in the genital area since chemicals may have a harmful effect. While it works for everybody, do ask your doctor if there are any effects related to long term use of the medicine since you would use it everytime you feel an outbreak coming on.

Secondly, using Medavir will stop herpes breakdown but not cure it completely. There is no permanent cure for herpes but if you can prevent its outbreak, I think it is just as good. This is because the virus lies dormant in cells where the antibodies cannot reach them.

It worked for me.  Nearly 2 years since I had any outbreaks after using it 2x.  I agree with Kate, as long as you are careful not to infect others if you don't get outbreaks, it is as good as being cured.  If the virus is still there but you never know it, whats the difference?

Yes it definately works (or did for me anyway)-- I cannot believe its not in every pharmacy.  Prevented outbreak that I KNOW was coming now 2X.  I was infected 10 years ago so I know what that feels like.   I suggest taking a chance and trying it and if it does not work the company says they will refund ALL your money (including the shipping charge) and pay you to ship it back-- why not!?
Send it back if you don't see results and make the company put their "money where there mouth is"..

I have tried it had an outbreak...used it...and on the third day...seems it still hasn't cleared up the issue...I'm suffering...I payed 127.00 for the product but still no results. The main ingredient is fluoride....how is that suppose to work anyway...I'm an idiot for believing it would work.

Is the 30ml bottle that they sell typically enough or should I get the 3 pack deal? It is expensive & I don't want to waste my money if the one bottle is enough.
